ABOUT PORTREE

Portree is the capital of the Isle of Skye and is located on the shores of Loch Portree, providing a central hub for all the main Skye roads making Portree an excellent base for your exploration by road or sea!  There are many excellent shops in the village – browse for your ideal gift or treat yourselves to something wonderful locally produced foods and treats from our artisan bakers, wholefood shop, fish and seafood shops, local butcher selling Loch Carron beef and local meats as well as our local Co-op supermarket.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The Isle of Skye can be reached by bus directly from Inverness or by Train. A ferry is also available from Armadale at the south of the Island.

The Island boasts several award winning restaurants all offering a wide selection of local produce such as fresh seafood.
